History
Prairie Hydraulic Equipment Ltd. was
incorporated in Calgary, Alberta on July 11, 1978. The company is
a hydraulic sales, service, design and manufacturing facility, as well
as a builder and supplier of highway snow blowers, snow plows, and
sand/salt/liquid application equipment for the North American highway
maintenance industry. With over 25 years of industrial service,
Prairie Hydraulic Equipment Ltd. has expanded from its original
single-bay facility to its current 12,000 sq.ft. facility in the Calgary
Foothills Industrial Park.
In the first year, Prairie Hydraulic
Equipment Ltd. started as a three-man operation of selling and repairing
hydraulic tools and concrete cutting/coring equipment to the commercial
construction industry. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, the
concrete cutting and coring section of the business was sold, allowing
the partners to focus and develop the hydraulic and servicing end of the
business. A Pinnacle in the Highway
Maintenance Industry
In the
early 1980's, Prairie Hydraulic Equipment Ltd. was approached by Parks
Canada and The City of Lethbridge, Alberta to customize the hydraulic
systems for their snow plows and sanding systems. It was a great
success, and from that time Prairie Hydraulic Equipment Ltd. has
continued to specialize in the customization, design, maintenance, and
manufacturing of hydraulic systems for the North American highway
maintenance industry. With over 20 years of solid experience in
building and supplying highway maintenance equipment, Prairie Hydraulic
Equipment Ltd. is a Pinnacle in the highway maintenance industry. |
